How to find us
Thropton Demesne Farmhouse is situated in the peaceful Northumberland village of Thropton, 2 miles west of the ancient market town of Rothbury which is known as "The Gateway to the Northumberland National Park'.
Approaching from either North or South via the A1, take the A697 Coldstream road at the northern end of the Morpeth bypass. After approx. 6 miles from the A1, exit the A697 at Weldon Bridge onto the B6344, following the signs for Rothbury. Drive straight through Rothbury and Thropton is the next village (2 miles).
At the far end of Thropton on the left you will see the sign for Thropton Demesne Farmhouse B&B. Our car park for 6-8 cars is at the bottom of the private drive.
Coming from Otterburn and the West, we are the first on the right as you enter the village.
If you are using Satellite Navigation, we should tell you that several neighbouring properties in Thropton share the same postcode, so although technology may safely navigate you for hundreds of miles to the centre of the village, since we are located off the main street, the last few hundred yards may require more traditional methods using the above directions to find us.
